Honoring the Sacred Yoni for International Women’s Day 2023

In honor of International Women’s Day (March 8th), Mango in a Pot is hosting a Yoni-art workshop, where you will be led through the creation of clay yonis and then given the opportunity to create three-dimensional yoni art. We will look at this process as an act of self love and divine worship, leaving time for reflection and connection.

Tapping into our divine essence

It seems like International Women’s Day creeps up on me every year. My first year living in London was the first time this holiday was even brought to my attention when a very kind cashier at Leon offered me a free brownie in commemoration of the day. I also remember getting some well wishes from some of my coworkers where I was interning. I was surprised that people took the holiday so seriously back then, I guess it was the first time I was experiencing mass-scale reverence and respect for women in real life (even for one day) and it woke me up to how lacking it was every other day of the year. Now, almost 6 years later, I’m making it a point to be proactive about International Women’s Day, giving the holiday the recognition it deserves.

My intention for this year in general has been to empower everyone around me to get in touch with their divine feminine, regardless of their gender. This year has very much been about softening, and tuning into the sacred messages of the body. I want this special Women’s Day workshop to reflect these principles, encouraging everyone to s l o w d o w n.

Three dimensional Yoni art

In this workshop, I will be leading participants through the process of creating yoni art with clay as the medium. Everything we create will be done with intention and mindfulness. The session will begin with a grounding meditation that will allow us to drop into our bodies and create from a place of playfulness. We will honor the divine feminine by channeling our creative energy with softness and grace.

There is a certain type of magic that happens when you work with your hands. My vision for this workshop is to gather together to experience the healing magic of centering the yoni as a work of art. It’s incredibly empowering to reframe the yoni as a divine place of worship.

Everyone’s welcome!

Even if this workshop is taking place on International Women’s Day, anyone who is looking to get in touch with their divine feminine and create yoni art is welcome to come along! That being said, these events tend to sell out quite quickly, so always better to book in advance. I am really looking forward to this special gathering and all of the beautiful art that will come out of it.
