Now you’ve made your masterpiece, how will you decorate it?

Now that you’ve made your art, it needs to sit and dry completely (1-2 weeks) before it goes in the kiln. Then you can think about decoration!

After you create something at a Mango in a Pot workshop, you have a couple of options for glazing. Glazing is the process of “painting” the clay after it’s been fired once in the kiln. It’s a very important step if you want your work to be food safe/dishwasher safe. It can also give a new life to whatever you create!

  • You can pickup your bisque fired piece directly at the studio and possibly glaze it on your own. Please get in touch to arrange a pickup time.

  • You can attend the next glazing workshop where you will be introduced to different glazing techniques and have the opportunity to glaze your work. To book this session, please be in touch.

  • I can dip your piece(s) in clear glaze. The final result will be glossy + the colour of the clay. You can choose this option by purchasing a voucher. You will be prompted to describe your work so I know I am glazing the right piece(s)!

  • You also have the option to book a studio-drop in to glaze your piece(s). Read my blog post to see how drop-ins work and book your drop in session here
