an introduction

I don’t feel the need to tell you all of my qualifications and experience. For starters, thats incredible boring, but mostly its because I firmly believe that we (I say we as in “society”, even if that term is a bit meh, but you got me) base credibility too much on external validation (certifications, formal schooling, years of experience). We are all experts about way more than we think, but the world around us is constantly telling us that we’re not.

I do understand that thats a huge statement for a quirky pottery website, but here I am making it. I’m Sam, and I am here to share with you my passion for ceramics along with my 2 cents on how to live more connected with the world around us. I’m doing this because in my day to day, I come across so many people who are living disconnected from the people and the earth that surrounds them. In our ever changing digital world, it’s becoming even more difficult to foster those human connections and feel our oneness with all that is.

So follow along if you want to ride this journey with me. I promise to always be 100% authentic in my expression and unapologetically honest (maybe too much so sometimes, but I will let you be the judge of that).

I’m just a ceramic artist who wants to do her part in improving our collective human experience.

A bit about this blog…

Something that fills me with great joy, and even sparks a light of passion within me, is to offer my wisdom/advice to others. I don’t expect anyone to follow it necessarily, but my joy is purely derived from the offering itself.

So here we are, I’ve decided to make the little bits of wisdom I’ve acquired over the years available to the masses (thanks social media!). I will be bringing on different resources and voices to this platform so that we can all learn together. Overall, my goal is to create a conscious community of individuals who want to live more connected.

So, welcome to my very not-exclusive club, we’re here for fun and with light spirits!
